At Hidden Stables our focus is on providing our clients with quality and affordable riding on gentle horses and ponies as well as a safe and affordable place to bring your equine friend.
We believe in learning from the ground up and provide instruction on grooming and tacking as well as riding.
We believe that those riders, who have a goal to eventually own their own horse should lease first to grasp a better understanding of what it really is to own and care for their own horse. Horses are a serious responsibility and we strive to pass that understanding on to all.
For our boarders we offer quality and affordable care for their equine friend. We offer full care stall and field board as well as modified self care options for horses and ponies. (additional boarding information can be found on the "Boarding with Us" page.
Throughout the summer months we offer a limited number of summer horse camps tailored to the beginner rider and up.
WHAT OTHERS HAVE TO SAY ABOUT US:
Rita: My 9 year old daughter has been taking lessons at Hidden Stables for almost 2 months and has learned so much in such a little time. Not only does she learn to ride, she is taught safety, how to tack the horse, groom the horse & all the skills necessary to take care of a horse. She has learned that there is a lot of responsibility with having a horse. She is also learning to be more confident and assertive.
With no experience being around horses at all, it was great that Hidden Stables offered a "Barn Days" which was a wonderful sample of the skills necessary to take care of horses and their Barn.
The staff is very welcoming and has given me a lot of education as well. Thank you to all the staff at Hidden Stables for sharing your barn, animals and knowledge with me and my family.
Aimee: Great place for lessons, trail rides and camp. Overall experience is 100%.
Andrea: My daughter just completed her first camp and she had the most wonderful week of learning, riding & playing! This is a great place run by wonderful people!
Ann: Horses are happy, serene wooded area with great trails, friendly people.
ABOUT THE OWNERS:
Charlie and Sara Pifer are the lifeblood of Hidden Stables. After purchasing the barren property in 2010, they worked tirelessly to build what you see today, literally from the ground up. Both work passionately to make their vision a reality, determined to create an encouraging venue for clients to learn, relax, and enjoy their time in a nontoxic environment. Moreover, they are dedicated to keeping the facility available to families by keeping their rates very reasonable- without sacrificing individual care and attention to detail.
Both Charlie and Sara are approachable, modest, down to earth individuals. They encourage your feedback and suggestions about all facets of their program, constantly working to implement improvements.
ABOUT OUR INSTRUCTOR:
-Sara Pifer, although also the owner and manager of Hidden Stables, also finds time to head some of the more specialty type programs such as the "Little Equestrian" classes and "Ladies at the Barn" sessions. Sara enjoys offering the joy of horses in a kind and low key environment. Proper horsemanship and an overall understanding of horses is high on her list of priorities in addition to mounted safety and a overall positive experience.
Sara has competitively ridden and owned horses for over 25 years and still enjoys the daily hands on care that she provides each of the personal horses and boarded horses at Hidden Stables.
We believe that personal attention to each client is paramount is providing quality service and that is what we strive to offer each and every day at Hidden Stables.
